PSA is an English abbreviation for Pressure Sensitive Adhesive, literally translated: "pressure sensitive glue" which means that the glue will stick if you only press it. The usual Dutch term is more self-adhesive (which can mean "self-adhesive" or "self-adherent" in English).
PSA hotmelts are hotmelt adhesives that retain their sticky properties after cooling. Well-known applications are self-adhesive tapes (adhesive tape) and self-adhesive labels (stickers).
Most PSA hotmelts are based on synthetic rubbers and resins.
